IBM 3286 printer
This is a 3270 peripheral first announced with the rest of the 370 line and their peripherals in 1970.
It is a dot matrix printer (and a very early one) that prints onto full width 136 column paper. This specific machine was made in 1972.
This is a classic IBM product, clean and well built on the outside, bizzare on the inside. It uses 74 series TTL logic chips, one of the first products to do so, along with the other products in the 3270 family. It also reuses the chassis for the 327x controllers. Having the full 32 port coax patch panel (with only one being populated) and unpopulated channel connector plates, even with their labels!
Unfortunately for me, this is so early it uses a different coax standard. So I cannot use my big box 3174 with it. I am therefore looking for the period correct controller. These would be 3272, 3271 or any others that can do type B coax.
